Seriously, it feels like every other day there's a new project launching with a flashy whitepaper and promises of "revolutionizing DeFi" or "the next big meme coin." I used to spend hours researching, deep-diving into tokenomics, team backgrounds, and roadmaps. Now, with the sheer volume of new coins hitting the market, I'm finding myself just... stuck. It's like I'm experiencing 'analysis paralysis' on a whole new level.
I've got my core holdings in BTC and ETH, of course, and I've dabbled in some established altcoins like SOL and ADA. But every time I think about exploring newer, potentially high-growth altcoins, I get overwhelmed. There are so many narratives flying around – AI tokens, RWA, Layer 2 scaling solutions, meme coins with absurd market caps... how do you even begin to filter through it all?
I've tried setting some basic criteria:
- Is there a clear use case beyond just speculation?
- Does the team have a proven track record or strong community backing?
- Is the tokenomics sustainable, or is it just an inflationary nightmare waiting to happen?
- What's the actual development activity like (check GitHub!)?
But even with these filters, the list still feels endless. I end up spending more time *deciding* what to research than actually researching. Anyone else in the same boat? How are you managing this constant influx of new projects? Are you sticking to what you know, or do you have a specific strategy for sifting through the noise to find the gems?
Would love to hear your thoughts. Maybe we can share some strategies or even promising projects that have passed your rigorous due diligence!
